Family business Nic den Heijer Bloemenexport was founded in 1948 and has developed into a specialised partner in flowers, bouquets and plants. They focus mainly on wholesalers, garden centres and high-end retailers. Since their processing lines produce exclusive bouquets, such as picking bouquets, they can readily respond to custom requests. The companies in One Flora Group focus more on supplying retail, with mass production playing a greater part. One Flora Group can play a valuable role in processing when it comes to producing larger bouquet orders. Together these two companies can therefore supply the entire sales market from retail to garden centres. What's more, by combining the import activities of both parties, economies of scale can also be achieved. "This collaboration helps us add even more value for our customers, which benefits everyone in the chain," says Ron Hogenboom, general manager Nic den Heijer Bloemenexport.
